Automated first-visit testing

Strangers don't file bug reports. They leave.

Cold Visitor sends AI visitors - an impatient buyer, a skeptical evaluator, a first-timer on slow 4G - through your site in a real browser, and shows you the exact second each one gives up. On video.

How a cold visit works

No scripts to write and no test IDs to add. You give us a URL and an optional goal ("reach the order confirmation"); the visitors do the rest.

  1. Pick your visitors

Five personas with different patience budgets, devices and network speeds - from a buyer in a hurry to a careful senior on slow 4G.

  2. They really visit

Each session runs in a fresh, real browser. Visitors read your pages, click, scroll and fill forms with clearly fake test data.

  3. Every step is evidence

Screenshots, the visitor's own reasoning, load times, console errors and full video - recorded step by step.

  4. You get the friction report

A scored report with the funnel per persona, the top findings, and a video clip for the exact moment each visitor gave up.

A report you can act on the same afternoon

Every finding comes with the exact second on video - you watch the visitor give up instead of guessing why. Click a timestamp to jump straight there, the same way you will in your report.

Open a real report Four AI visitors against our fictional Northpeak store. Same output you get, nothing removed: score, funnel per persona, findings and the four session videos.

Jump straight to the moment

Press play, or click a timestamp - the recording jumps to the exact second, just like every finding in your report does.

55/100
friction score
  • critical

All five visitors gave up before the goal

Shoppers found no prices or terms; explorers hit dead ends after two pages. Their own words are attached to every drop-off. ▸ watch 00:26

  • medium

Fonts blocked by a mixed-content error

The page loads over HTTPS but requests a stylesheet over HTTP - the browser blocks it on every visit. Fix: one character, http → https.

What's inside every conversion audit

Everything is tied to evidence you can replay - no scores without receipts.

Friction score, 0-100

Computed from severity and how many visitors each problem hit. Re-test after fixing and watch it move.

Funnel per persona

Where each visitor type entered, hesitated and dropped, page by page.

Video with timestamps

Every finding links to the exact second in the session recording.

Exact copy rewrites

When the problem is wording, you get the current text and a proposed replacement - quoted from your real page, never invented.

Dead-CTA sweep

Every visible link and button clicked once; the ones that do nothing get named.

Before / after re-test

Run it again after your fixes: score delta, resolved findings, and anything new.

Built to be safe on a live site

No real orders, ever

Visitors stop before any irreversible step - payments, bookings, deletions - and the report marks it "not tested for safety", never "failed".

Unmistakably fake data

Forms are filled with clearly marked test data on a dedicated test domain. Payment fields are never touched.

Your domain, your call

Audits run only after you verify domain ownership. Runner IPs are published for your allowlist. EU-hosted, recordings purged on schedule.

Questions people ask before their first audit

What is an AI website audit?

AI visitors with different personas - an impatient buyer, a skeptical evaluator, a careful senior on slow 4G - browse your site in a real Chromium browser, with no script and no test IDs. Every step is recorded: what they clicked, what they thought out loud, where they hesitated and the exact second they gave up. You get a scored conversion audit with video evidence for every finding.

How is this different from session replay or heatmaps?

Session replay tools show you real users after you already have traffic. Cold Visitor generates the visit: it works before launch, on low-traffic pages and on redesigns - and unlike a replay, the visitors explain themselves ("I can't tell what this costs, I'm leaving").

Why do visitors leave my website?

In the audits we run, the same few reasons keep coming back: the page doesn't say what it costs, a call to action leads nowhere, a form asks too much too early, or the page is slow enough that patience runs out. The report shows which of these is happening on your site, with the moment on video.

Is it safe to run on a live site?

Yes. Visitors fill forms only with clearly marked test data, never touch payment fields, and stop before any irreversible step - orders, bookings, deletions - which the report marks as "not tested for safety". Audits run only against domains you verify, from published IPs, on EU-hosted infrastructure.

How much does a website conversion audit cost?

The cold open is free: one visitor session with your single worst finding and its video clip. The full audit is a one-time EUR 29 - five personas, every finding, copy rewrites and the dead-CTA sweep. A re-test after your fixes is EUR 19. No subscription.
